CHRIS GEORGE ZUGER
Chris?s style cannot be pinned down to one genre, as his motto is ?diversity is the key?, he can be found mixing tech trance, tribal, electro, progressive house/trance, house, techno, minimal tech and tech house in all of his sets ? uniquely building on each track to not just mix but to tell a story and take the crowd on a journey with an energy and passion rarely seen from any DJ in Ottawa, which has earned him the nickname Mr. Friday Night for his energetic and crowd moving sets at the now defunct Club MTL.
Locally he has been a part of one of the most memorable weekly events, Narcosis Thursdays at the former incarnation of Buddha Bar. In addition he has held residencies in Gatineau at Palladium after hours, Fusion Fridays and has played at memorable venue?s such as Surface, MTL, Rouge, Traffik, Sundaze and can currently be found at Euphoria After-hours in Gatineau, which he helped found and launch.
Chris has been tirelessly at work building an organization of promoters, DJ?s and like minded people into the Onethousandone Collective. a group of people who work together to promote and advertise their events to the local scene to ensure that not only can we nurture what is already there but build on that for the benefit of the next generation of scene leaders.
Yan was introduced to electronic music in 2003, where he first fell in love with the energy and the people in the EDM culture. DJ Mushin was the one who showed him everything he needed to know to play music as a DJ. Since then he’s been spending most of his free time in the studio, producing and mixing non-stop, in progressive house and techno. His main influences are Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Eurphun and Bleda Diaz.
In 2008, he started his own event organizing company “4Play Productions” and was one of the main sponsors @ Ottawa Electronic Music Festival and Electronic Paradise 2.
